District 05 Community!

Welcome to Zonta International’s District 5!

Our District was established in 1920 making it one of the oldest in Zonta.   Our Members in the 3 U.S. States of Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia have been Building a Better World for Women & Girls, for over a Century.

This Biennium we are Continuing our Goal for Gender Equality.

Our District Advocacy Initiative is to End Child Marriage, which is currently still allowed in all Three of our District 5 States.

Our District Service Project is to help all Women and Children to Safely Evacuate any Crisis, whether Climate, Community Disruption or Domestic Violence. Partnering with Community Organizations, We will be making ESK’s – Emergency Safety Kits, and Teaching our Neighbors how to be Safe and the essentials needed, in case of Emergency.

We will Connect with Women & Girls in our Community through our many Education Equality Programs of Awards, Scholarships and the ZI Amelia Earhart Fellowship.   Our Goal is to Continue to Move Women into Decision-Making Roles, in our Society.  Our Zontians have Hearts and Hands for Service and Voices to Advocate for Equal Rights.   If you are interested in Building a Better World for Women & Girls, please Contact our Governor Kimm and we’ll find a Club near you…or Start a New Zonta Club, in your Area of District 5.Contact myself, Gov.
