Meet the Governor, Margot Hoffman
Margot is the President and CEO for The Partnership for Excellence, the state-based Baldrige program for Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia. She has held several positions in engineering, program management and senior leadership with global manufacturing organizations. She is currently on the Board of Directors for Altra Industrial Motion Corporation. Job transfers have given Margot the opportunity to be a member of the Zonta Club of Toledo I, Zonta Club of Melbourne Yarra in Australia and her current club, the Zonta Club of Columbus. She has been a Zontian since 1995 and has held several leadership positions including Lt. Governor (2016-2018), Area Director (2014-2016) and Club President (2012-2014). Margot also volunteers as a senior examiner for the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program and is a member of 100 Women of Westerville. She enjoys working out, and hiking and boating with her husband Bert and dog Turbo.
Having spent much of her career in male-dominated fields of engineering and manufacturing, Margot has a passion for Zonta’s mission to empower women and girls through service and advocacy. She is committed to the work Zonta does internationally and is motivated by the fact that Zontians not only have a positive impact on women in their local communities, but make a difference in the lives of women around the world. Margot has been fortunate to attend six Zonta International Conventions and has met amazing women from around the world.
Margot is excited to lead the district during the 2018-2020 biennium and the centennial anniversary of Zonta International. Her Governor’s class is named the BridgeZ because they will be bridging Zonta’s first century of service with the next century. She will carry out Zonta’s centennial theme of Honor & Empower, while focusing on retention of current members and increasing membership through engagement, growing awareness of our international projects in support of the Zonta International Foundation, and engaging more District 5 Zontians in activities at the district and international level.
